Finished Bottling The 2011 Honey Crop

September 20, 2011 By RDG

Various sized jars of honey.
Bottles of my 2011 honey crop.

Tonight I finished bottling the 2011 honey crop. I ended up with 14.5 gallons this year. I started the year with one over wintered hive and two packages. The two packages produced a crop but the over wintered hive did not. I would call this an average year. I would consider getting three supers from each hive to be a good year.
